Device with 2 parallel WiFi connections? Posted: 18 Aug 2020 03:51 AM PDT What is preventing devices from having 2 WiFi chips that work in parallel like 2 cores of a CPU? Let's say I'm connected to 2 WiFi networks - with software my phone determines which one is stronger, it uses the weaker connection to load the website, and the faster one to load media. After the website has been loaded both connections are used for media. Is there anything preventing this as in hardware/software limitations or is it just a matter of this is too complex to develop at this time? Apologies if this is a really dumb question [link] [comments] |
Did I get a virus? Need help determining the problem. Posted: 18 Aug 2020 03:38 AM PDT So, I had to get a webcam for online classes and I got a Hyundai Hys-001. After I got the webcam, my PC had noticeable lag in applications such as Google and other browsers. In the web browsers, it sometimes freezes for a few seconds and then continues so if I was watching a video in youtube, the video will sometimes freeze for a few seconds and continue on after. In video games, it also freezes. Like in League of Legends, it freezes for a bit and then unfreezes. This only happened after I attached the webcam into my PC. Before this, everything ran fine, my google didn't freeze and my games didn't freeze too. [link] [comments] |
I require help with finding a wifi router that works with usb sim internet Posted: 18 Aug 2020 03:14 AM PDT Hey there guys, thanks for reading the post. I am looking to purchase a router for our house that can work with a usb (2 or 3) sim card to get internet from. We do not have cable internet in our house, and at this point it would be expensive to connect it. So our option at the moment would be to get a router that can share internet coming from a usb dongle with sim card. Is there such a thing? And if so, what would be your opinions, which would be the best to buy, or to look into? Thanks in advance for the help! [link] [comments] |

Why should i buy a capture card? Posted: 18 Aug 2020 02:52 AM PDT Modern graphics card already have the ability to record your screen or stream it via OBS. And I understand some people would buy capture card separately to reduce their GPU load. But are there any other benefits to using a capture card? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Aug 2020 12:03 PM PDT Hi, I have a camper or RV that was pre wired for a wifi antenna. This weekend I installed a ks1000 king swift antenna on the roof of the camper. Good news is it gets great reception to the resort wifi. When attempting to set up the king wifimax router as a repeater, it prompts me for the password to the upstream wifi, which I enter. It then reboots the router and when it comes back online it still isn't connected to the resort wifi so I'm not getting any internet connectivity from it. Customer service is too busy to answer calls... any ideas? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Aug 2020 11:26 PM PDT In the McDonald's app I saw this text "Sorry we couldn't find the page Our speciality is getting you to where you need to go, but we can't get you to the page you requested :( Double check the URL and try again. You might be able to find what your'e looking for from our homepage" when I tried to connect my Facebook account to ubereats to continue with it to seal my order since I can't do it with a mobile number since my LTE won't receive texts at this time. Looking for an alternative to Apple Notes with very specific criteria, completely stumped so far Posted: 17 Aug 2020 11:23 PM PDT Long story short, I'm looking to leave Apple's "walled garden" ecosystem but unfortunately am stuck using their proprietary Notes software as a cloud document/note-taking service which I make use of for nearly everything in my life. However, none of the alternative software fits the criteria I'm looking for. I need to find software that fits the following criteria:
The closest software I've found to these criteria is Simplenote, but it has a number of issues. It doesn't have a category system like Apple Notes, instead "tags", and you can't pop notes into a separate window either. The search function within a note is also severely lacking, and the UI doesn't show hard dividers between notes. Software I need to purchase is fine, but no subscription services please. Posted: 17 Aug 2020 09:35 PM PDT It is not possible for me to downlaod and upload the files as the data is >50 GB and I am short of internet and disk storage to do so. Also, Make a copy option is available only for individual files, but there must be thousands of files and hence, doing so for every individual file is almsot impossible. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Aug 2020 06:11 PM PDT SSIA, I'm waiting up around 4am and it's been really disruptive to my partner's sleep schedule. Why can't i see full hd resolution videos on my full hd monitor? Posted: 17 Aug 2020 05:41 PM PDT Hey redditors, i recently bought a dell monitor which has native resolution 1920x1080p. However, i haven't been able to see the sharpness of hd videos on this monitor. The video is a bit blurry as compared to my Sony bravia which also supports full hd. I noticed this occurs only while watching videos in hd and not in gaming. My graphics is Intel UHD graphics 600. Is this happening because of my graphics or do i need to change my monitor settings? And while watching youtube i can clearly see sharpness of YouTube video ie. its working well on youtube but not on my downloaded hd videos. I hope you would suggest something helpful. Dell Inspiron 7472 booting help Posted: 17 Aug 2020 12:47 PM PDT Couple weeks ago I just shut down my inspiron and when I tried to turn on again it did nothing. Pressing power button would not even give me lights on the keyboard. So I googled, looks like I have to do reset. Disconnected the battery cable, pressed power button for 30 seconds and it logged into the supportassist. No OS was found. I installed windows again and laptop was working well since. Until today, when same thing happened, it wouldnt power up. I did the same routing with battery. When it turned on, supportassist did a check and said everything was working well and windows booted up. Then I shut it down for test and same thing happened. Did a routine of disconnecting and reset, afterwards I logged in but now Im afraid to turn it off cause I cant go through whole disassembly crap everytime I wanna boot up a laptop. Is there a solution for that? what can I do to fix? Edit: I have no warranty. Also battery is being weird since it says it can hold charge for 6 hours but in reality it does about 2. Does anyone experience same issues? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Aug 2020 08:57 AM PDT So, I'm looking for a budget phone and I'm stuck between two. - Nokia 5.3 (Latest android and Android 1) -Samsung A21s (Modern design, better camera, and battery) I'm really struggling to find a clear winner because they each outdo each other in their respective fields, that being Hardware & Design vs Software. Any input would be helpful. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Aug 2020 12:44 PM PDT My wifi coverage is garbage after it got fixed after a storm knocked out the cable. I'm not necessarily on a budget, but I don't want anything too expensive, just something that gets the job done well. [link] [comments] |
