Can I turn off cellular network while using WiFi calling?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 12:46 AM PDT

When I use WiFi calling to reduce the battery consumption in poor network area, my mobile still connected to cellular to check which has better coverage and tries to switch to LTE (I found in service mode that it is still connected to network). Is there a way to completely disconnect from cellular while using WiFi calling?

    Livestreaming video with telemetry/GPS overlay

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 03:34 AM PDT

Hi, I was wondering if there is a wearable camera/ device/ combination of divices that can livestream video with telemetry data overlay? Just pace & distance covered would do, but ideally cardio & pedometer data too. I know Garmin Virb Ultra 30 can collect all this data but I'm unclear if it can stream this data or it can only be overlayed in post, also I don't like that the Garmin Virb can only stream when paired to an iPhone or iPad(neither of which I really want) & can only stream to YouTube, but not other platforms.

Is there a way to decrease my laptop's camera quality?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 11:41 AM PDT

I want to decrease my camera's quality because during lectures, everyone has crappy cameras while they can see clearly through mine and I feel big discomfort, I know it is weird.

So is there a way to decrease the quality? Like a software or through system?

Quick Question about Clicking on Mailto: Links

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 11:14 PM PDT

    Hello guys.

So I was recently on a website and they had a blue email hyperlink (I think it was a "mailto:" link). I (left) clicked on it and nothing happened and nothing popped up. Since I clicked on it, will it send an email to that email address without me knowing?

I am using Windows 10. I am using Google Chrome browser. When I looked into my PC settings, my default "Email App" is Google Chrome.

    Thanks!

Do you need a 5g plan to use a 5g compatible phone?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:56 PM PDT

When trying to purchase the Pixel 5, I see that the fine text reads "Requires a 5G data plan (sold separately). 5G service and roaming not available on all carrier networks or in all areas. Contact carrier for details about current 5G network performance, compatibility, and availability."

Is the phone bricked without this plan or is 5g just not accessible? I don't care if I can't access 5g, but I don't want a bricked device

Sooo ipad pro or tab s7?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 01:26 PM PDT

So, might be some what of a controversial topic, hardcore fans on both sides. But I really need some help here. I want to buy a tablet to do some light study work on (reading pdf and making notes), do some drawing and some Adobe Illustrator thingies on. I have a macbook pro laptop but a galaxy phone.

I already have my mind set on top segment, but i reaaaally dont know to choose the ipad pro or the tab s7 (+?). The tab s7 is about waaaay cheaper in my country (like 400 or so) but the ipad pro might go beter with the macbook (transfering files easy and stuff like that).

Pros of the tab is that i can get the nice keyboard cover, and its cheaper. But i am wondering how it works together with my macbook pro. And how is the Illustrator app for Android?

Looking for a new pair of wireless earphones after using apple's AirPods for a couple years (not the best for the price), but I'm not really sure which to choose. Any recommendations? (Compatible with iPhones btw)

Model Numbers On an Agilent Gas Chromatograph?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 11:10 AM PDT

I work for a company that repairs various types of electronics from random places. Recently we received an Agilent 7890a GC and i now have the daunting task of figuring out the models for the front panel with the LCD screen on it and the board behind it. Genuinely I'm at a loss and Agilent wouldn't tell me straight out, hopefully someone here has any familiarity with this or maybe direction for where i should be looking

Where to download Realtek HD Audio Drivers?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 10:57 AM PDT

So my soundcard is Realtek ALC662 – High Definition

I tried downloading realtek drivers from https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/pc-audio-codecs-high-definition-audio-codecs-software this is the official site so I trust it more but when I download it sound works, but the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" application refuses to open and isn't visible in bottom bar, I checked task manager and whenever I open the executable it just instantly closes itself, even tried updating windows and all the optional updates but it still doesn't work so I just uninstalled it

https://support.lenovo.com/hr/en/downloads/ds104333 found this for my card specifically, I haven't tested it yet, but this release is 2015 compared to realtek's site 2017...

Shouldn't the driver from the literal official site work? Am I missing something? Do I need to get one from a 3rd party side for my specific driver? I'm so confused please help, should I get the 2nd driver or reinstall the first one?

edit : I'm using windows 10 64 bit btw, my motherboard is IPISB-VR and manufacturer is Gateway

edit 2 : I got drivers from https://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/gateway/laptops-desktops/dx4860/385 because the lenovo site said it was only for their thinkcentre products and the gateway site only said it supports it in windows 7

these drivers are from 2015, would it be better to just use microsoft's default one as it might be newer or should I use the 2015 driver as that's what's for the card?

I don't want to buy/replace another PC for another 5 years.
