- Hey there I have a 64 bit processor in my PC but a 32 bit windows(10 Pro) so can I use more than 4 GBs of RAM(Specifically 6 GBs) of ram in my PC or not?

| I can t boot anything on PC (not a noob guy, detailed) Posted: 19 Dec 2020 02:43 PM PST Hi. Solved: by shrinking the volume and not formatting it in DISKPART and installing Windows10. I apologize for using a word "noob", but in these context it is appropriate. I deleted the Lubuntu partition in Dual boot PC where I had also installed Windows 10. Grub rescue error is blocking me from everything. Lubuntu live USB is not recognised by the system. I can t fix it with it which is weird by itself. But the system (BIOS) wants to run a Windows 10 bootable disk unlike Lubuntu live bootable disk. It takes very long for it to run, though. In the Command Prompt under Repair PC, when Win10 is plugged in, I can't do basically anything. Bcdedit and many other commands do not work. Can I download and install BIOS from CMD? In the diskpart commands my Windows is still there, but I can't access it. Can I install BIOS by downloading it on Android and formatting it on OTG cable, but what would be the app? Free without root? What else can I do, I ve tried everything. I can't do a new install because it says "we couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information see the Setup log files", but the partition is there. I can't do neither a custom install because it requires me to unplug the Windows media USB, and chose an appropriate OS which I can't because of the grub rescue error? Some guys recommended me some software to install on USB for boot repair. That's great, but it requires to make a bootable USB. Can I do anything through Android, can I install on USB anything? My friend needed a computer with 32gb of ram and the best Pre-built I found for him on amazon had only 16gb and there were no PC's with 32gb and appropriate specs. I looked at the page of the pc and couldn't find any info on the exact type of memory in the system besides it being ddr4 and having 16gb. What I do know from photos of the PC is that it is either using Ballistix max or Trident Z memory. And I though that instead of buying one of those brands of memory and guessing the speed I might as well just buy lpx vengeance 3200Mhz. There are 2 things I am worried about though. 1.Are they compatible? 2.Will my friend have to change anything in the UEFI? [link] [comments] |

| Laptop take more than 5 minutes to startup and show the logo Posted: 19 Dec 2020 08:19 AM PST -laptop dell precision m4800 with 2 hard disks (SSD & HDD) the problem started after installing new windows on the SSD (did format both hard disks then) and it didn't boot up at all so went to BIOS and restored defaults...since then it takes more than 5 minutes since I press power button to give any light on screen. Posted: 19 Dec 2020 01:30 PM PST Since I have no need or desire for a Smart TV, I've spent some time searching and eventually found a basic LED TV that's exactly what I'm looking for in terms of image quality and size. Considering how hard it was for me to find this TV, I'm thinking about buying a spare so I'd have a replacement ready for when this one eventually breaks down. So here's my question: If I don't use the spare TV or connect it to anything for close to ten years (or possibly longer), will the parts inside it still breakdown / fail? I know certain electronics like SSD hard drives will eventually fail if left unpowered for an extended period of time, but how about the components within a television? [link] [comments] |
