| Can I get a virus from opening a PDF file on my Google Drive? Posted: 22 Sep 2020 03:11 AM PDT Hello! I recently downloaded a PDF file that I needed from a sketchy website. For the purpose of my question, let's assume the file has the possibility of containing a virus (or multiple ones?). In a separate computer (which I don't mind if it gets a virus), I downloaded a file online that was in the "epub" format. The website was kind of sketchy, but I still downloaded it and then went on a website to convert that epub file into a pdf file. After that, I downloaded the PDF file (still on the separate computer) and then uploaded that PDF file into my Google Drive. If I open the PDF file (just open, not download) from my Macbook, will I get a virus on my computer? The PDF file had all the information I needed, but I'm worried if I open it from my laptop it's going to fill it with viruses. I hope this was all clear, I can rephrase things if necessary. I want to try and make the L'manburg flag but whenever I search for how to do this I get shown face emoji makers or joke flag emoji making. I have no problem using MS paint or photoshop to create the flag but I have no idea how I would upload it. I cannot do any of my editing works because of that. I had very urgent works today but the problem got worse today itself. I tried uninstalling device from device manager, updating keyboard with a driver which is not compatible with this model as seen in a youtube video. Both didn't work. Please please help me disable the buildin keyboard of my laptop (HP Pavilion ab-035tx) somehow very urgently. [link] [comments] |

I just moved in with my girlfriend and we're both gamers, we have a living room and bedroom but overall there isn't much space in our small apartment. Because we like to play at the same time with a team, we have started to bleed sounds into the other's mic and it ends up sounding pretty bad for our teammates (even when muting the other on discord it still bleeds over). We both have sub 100 headsets with built in microphones that are great on their own, but don't have any noise suppression for audio that's a bit farther away. I know it's a small tech issue but is there a product or solution that would possibly fix or improve this? Currently we've been swapping to play out in the living room but it's a bit annoying to move our set ups every day just to play for a few hours and then move it back for classes, but we could probably live with it if there is no solution other than playing quieter. | Connecting two different docked computers to dual monitor and keyboard set up Posted: 21 Sep 2020 07:16 PM PDT I'm planning on setting up my work computer and home computer to link to a dual monitor set up through two different docking stations. I'd like to set it up so that when my work computer is dominant aka when it's on and both computers on in their docks, it automatically shows the work computer; and when the work computer is turned off, it seamlessly switches to the home computer. I'm considering doing this with the keyboard as well, but I know that might be too much to ask. Is there any software or switches I could use to achieve this? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 21 Sep 2020 06:10 AM PDT Upgrading SSD in Acer Nitro 5 laptop I want to get a ssd for my laptop, since it only comes with 256gb of storage, but i've looked everywhere and i still don't know what different types of ssd's there are, and how to know which one is compartmy laptop. I know there are sata ssd's, that would go in the same slot as a hdd, and there are m.2 ssd's, which are smaller. Are there m.2 ssd's that aren't nvme? do the larger 2.5 inch ssd's count as m.2? Do i need a ssd with a specific number so it's compatible with my laptop? My laptop has a hdd slot and two m.2 slots, one in use. | Trying to move files from LG G8S to PC with no luck Posted: 21 Sep 2020 05:53 AM PDT Im trying to move image files to a folder on my pc running windows 10 and i can move only one file at a time before file explorer crashes, also the moved file is corrupt. No other phone i have does this. Both windows and G8S are running latest updates. I checked the cable and the USB ports, no problems with other devices, just this one.
