    There is a new OTT streaming service recently launched, called Quibi. One of their USPs is that the videos are targeted at mobile users. That means, when you are watching the videos in portrait, the videos align perfectly in portrait mode showing everything important in focus. And then you can see even more of the scene if you turn the mobile horizontally.

    Initially I thought that maybe the app is streaming one single landscape video, with info on where to focus once the user turns the phone. But that didn't seem to be the case since text and stuff of the videos actually move to make them properly visible on each of the orientations.

    I was wondering if anyone could help me understand how exactly might Quibi guys have set it up.

    Overnight it stopped turning on. If I press the power button it shows me through a small light that is on but the screen remains black. can anyone help me?

    Can my employer track my browsing history if I use a proxy IP ?

    I would like to stream movies whilst at work without my employer finding out .The way I plan on doing it is getting IP addresses and entering them on the browser I will use ( Firefox ) .

    Assuming I delete my history and cookies regularly, is there any way my employer can access my browsing history ?

    Modem Recommendations for 600mbps+

    Hello Reddit!

    I upgraded my xfinity plan from 200mbps to 600mbps and they did tell me they can easily upgrade me but I won't take full advantage of it until I upgrade my modem.

    I currently have the arris surfboard 32 x 8 1.2hz apparently or can only go as high as 400mbps.

    Any helpful recommendations would help! I would appreciate a decent modem that is able to handle over 600 mbps? I have found a couple and they have bad reviews with failing over time. I'm not too sure which one to buy.

    USB-C hub power question

    Two questions:

    A MacBook Air has a 30W adapter. If you use a USB-C hub and attach several USB-A devices will it potentially lack power to power everything effectively?

    If so, can it be rectified with a more powerful adapter?

    Video with captions

    I am trying to upload a video to FB and to youtube with captions up the entire time, not optionally.

    I merged the video file & the SRT file with MKVToolNix, and *in VLC* the subtitles appear to be merged, but when I play the video with a regular windows media player or upload it to FB, the subtitles dont appear.

    I don't have a video editing software that i can put subtitles into. Kapwing doesnt export videos more than 40 minutes.

    Please let me know how I can do this? Why is this so hard?

    I am not sure that such a thing exists. I am interested in a cam that doesn't require a cord given I like to move with my laptop. However, if they do not exist, what cams have very long cords?

    Can longer periods of vibration damage phones vibrating motors?

    Several people have told me that apps that uses your phones vibrating motors as massage is really good. However, I'm concerned that I'm going to wear out the motors if i have them on constantly for say 10 minute periods. Is that a thing? Can it damage them or am I beeing paranoid?

    I need a longer version of a usb to dc cable to set up rgb. I know where I can buy this but I don't know which one to buy, specifically what millimeters for the dc. Does anyone know what mm X mm I need? I appreciate all the help!

    Port forwarding not working

    Hey,guys!

    So,I personally use an old TPlink router (WR841N)

    As a basic router,it works just fine; no complaints there.

    Recently,I have decided to open a gaming server. To create/connect to a server, you require an IP and a port(everyone knows that) and so I put the IP and port in the router settings and turned on the server.but the thing is,none of my friend could connect. I checked online if my port was open,it wasn't(though I have enabled it from the settings)

    One of my friends suggested to match the LAN ip with my real static IP.Did that too but still didn't work.

    I have searched the internet but couldn't find any solution.

    Help me!
