| Where/how can I host a 1.3 GB photo on the internet and link directly to it with a /photo.png URL? Posted: 20 Nov 2020 04:27 AM PST I have a photo (.png) that is roughly 1.35 GB in size. That's not a mistake - it's a 5,000 megapixel elevation map of the US, dimensions are around 116,000 x 50,000. I can host this as a file on Google Drive or whatever, but I'd like to host it just as a photo, and be able to link directly to it like any other photo. Example: https://pestleanalysis.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/examples-of-pestle-analysis.jpg (link ends in file extension and loads the photo as a webpage instead of a file download) I have very little experience with webhosting, and I'd like some insight on how to approach this. Posted: 20 Nov 2020 02:58 AM PST Hi there, I have this old 2.1 system by Speedlink Apollo 2.1 SL8211 (https://www.alatest.at/testberichte/lautsprecher/speed-link-sl-8211-apollo-2-2-1/po3-32881612,35/), and the problem with it is, that there is a constant background noise of the 50hz frequency. I DID once extent the speaker cables, but I undid so, bc I thought that was where the problem came from but it didn't solve it. Watching movies with it is a pain, bc the noise then only comes into effect with low frequency sounds. Anyone got any measures or advices I can take? I don't really know when they detached and when I lost them. I have tried registering new ACC but it never works. I have tried it in different devices too. Recently, whenever I try to register, it shows "check your connections" error message but I have no issues using Reddit or YouTube so it is definitely not a connection issue Is Kik banned in India? Anyways, a few months ago my bf of over 2 years and I were planning to move to a different state together, but I kept getting this gnarly gut feeling of something being off and I am not one to snoop, I had never gone on his phone before but knew his passcode from him typing it in in front of me once before. So I go on it when he is asleep, looks normal aside from the lack of saved pics of me { :( } snapchat was whatever I didn't open any of the pics sent to him by some girls just out of respect and I didn't really want my presence to be known lol and moved on to emails cause why not cover all my bases right? And aside from the (local) cougar porn spam in his inbox I was like w.e just spam and checked his sent emails. And yeah like 6 months prior to the day I was creeping on his phone was a sent email reply to a craiglist hookup ad where he described himself, said he wanted to hookup and mentioned giving his snap info too... This got me f**ked up. I checked the date and it was February of 2020. I even forwarded myself the email and it had the same time stamp. When I confronted him about it he said it had been from February 2018 and must have been a glitch because he would never do that to me. The email in question was accurately placed in order with his other sent emails from the same months/consecutively. The email had "sent from my Iphone" as the bottom so I can cross out the wrong date and time set on a desktop. I need an experts opinion on this matter please. I forgave him because I had found two old pics of mine from 2017 dated on my Google photo ap that were dated on there from 2000 somehow so I assumed it could have been some sort of similar glitch? SOS. Main point: Can an email from two years prior be time stamped two years in advance? Could it be a glitch or is he lying? [link] [comments] |

I also have an old 1070 lying around from one of my builds 2 years ago. I am tenpted to get an EGPU to boost performance of the laptop when I eventually go back to work and I know AMD often don't play well with Intel graphics card. Would this work seeing as the GPU isn't directly connected to the motherboard? Or will I have to get another graphics card? [link] [comments] |

Think John.Smith1975@Domain.com (Sorry if I've just published John's real email) However I get at least a dozen or more emails a week intended for people such as: John.Smith1975@otherDomain.com I've started getting the shits, as there's a car dealership in another country that keeps sending me deals despite me using Gmail and this other guy using AOL So I have John.Smith1975@gmail.com and this other dude has John.Smith1975@aol.com I've contacted the dealership, and asked them to take me off the list, and they will for a while, but inevitably, this other dude will buy another car from them and they start again, and normally tell me "Well you opted in" Further, it's even clear in the email header that the email isn't addressed to John.Smith1975@gmail.com but is actually destined for John.Smith1975@aol.com How I'm getting them I don't know, but I'm thinking if they keep sending me shit I'm just going to start emailing them random crap, I considered pictures of my genitals, but that could be illegal there, could be illegal here, dunno, so I won't do it. | Posted: 19 Nov 2020 06:08 PM PST I've was given an old (2012) 15" Sony Vaio laptop that I wanted to give new life to. It actually was a fairly good laptop at the time. I believe a new SSD was also installed on it after it was originally purchased. It's mainly going to be used by my wife who will use it for browsing the web and doing some light office docs work for note taking and such. I booted it up and saw it had Windows 10 on it but it runs extremely slow... Launching things / browsing the file system takes for ever but once open its fairly snappy. This makes me think maybe an issue with the SSD? One of the fans also sounds like its about to go. The other issue is that its 2+ years behind on updates... and its still trying to catch up after being on for 12+ hours... My question is, am I better off with leaving Windows 10 on it or installing ubuntu or xubuntu? Specs:

I found out what RAM it used and ordered more (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083NPX9TJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) as well as ordered an SSD, since I saw it had a space for a M.2. I have a 500gb SSD, but wanted the 1TB. This is the SSD I ordered (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFZY2F2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) So I installed both the SSD and the RAM at the same time, and when I turned my computer back on it just went into an infinite reboot cycle. My monitors never showed the BIOS menu or anything. It took about 20 seconds for it to reboot after trying to turn on, and did this until I held the power button to turn it back off. First I removed the SSD as I assumed that was the more complicated piece, but it still rebooted infinitely until I also removed the RAM. Any advice? Do I need to edit my system before I try to upgrade it, or is my system not compatible? I thought I did enough research to make sure they were compatible, but I am honestly kind of a newb with physical technology. [link] [comments] |

This is to host virtual learning pre-recorded videos that would require a user to enter a password/have access to view. Additionally, the viewer would have limited access (so they can't share or watch repeatedly), so after a set date, for example, their password or access expires (or I could just remove the video). No monetary transaction would be required -- just a password/special access. Any thoughts on what video platform would be best for this? When I start a new job, my mobile data will be almost non-existent during my first few weeks onsite. Without fail, though, my service will begin to improve after about 3-4 weeks of working in the same building, and it will eventually return to normal. Is there any technological explanation for this? Posted: 19 Nov 2020 11:46 AM PST I have just switched from Android to iPhone, I make tarot reading videos and for this purpose, the Google Photos stabilization editor is perfect (it can distort normal filming but works flawlessly for cards). I honestly thought there would be something available for iPhone but I cannot find anything close to as stable. (Google Photos will make handheld completely still and I cannot use a tripod because I must move). Does anyone have any ideas, possibly PC programs that could have this effect? My research shows that the Google Photos App is pretty unique in that it uses Google's machine learning tech and I love that it is completely automated, I may have to resort to just transferring to my old phone... My roommate has an A21 10W Merkury smart light bulb (it uses the Geeni app and connects to our wifi) and it flashes white light periodically. She has it installed in a desk lamp. It will flash once every couple of minutes, even when the bulb is turned off (meaning turned off from the app, since the lamp itself is still supplying electricity to the bulb). She's tried unscrewing it and putting it back into the lamp, as well as reinstalling the app and reconnecting the bulb from scratch to the wifi and the Geeni app. We're not sure what else to do to fix this and it's getting a little annoying. It's a gmail account. Possible Solutions: Should I do forwarding of messages and abandon the inbox? How would you handle this? Background: My university took the most CARESact money and refused to give it to students. Instead they implemented a system to demand health checks each day or they expire your password which I have refused to participate in. Why it Matters: These resets can happen multiple times a day and I'm willing to keep resetting the password, but these emails clog up my inbox and I miss legitimate messages from professors/mentors/advisors. I've been shadowbanned on my university subreddit for asking for help with this but honestly it's impacting my education. They're taking even more than the CARESact money by also vandalizing my inbox with this crap. I've tried blocking and reporting spam but it says my organizations settings continue to let them through. I think this is the right subreddit but I might be wrong!
