I'm a victim of rape (in England), the police have had my phone for over two months now. I understand they can have it until after the trial. My phone contains videos potentially helpful to the case. The police say they are downloading my phone's contents and also have to check for child pornography and the like on it as standard procedure. I just want my phone back. I'm the victim and yet I feel I'm being spied on because I don't know if or when the police have done the download of my phone. Everytime I use an app or email on my desktop that's linked to on my phone I'm just creating more data for them to potentially sift through. Reporting my rape was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and even though it may sound like a first world problem to not have my phone I feel as though part of me is still being violated. If I change the passwords on my social media accounts/email etc can they still access them if I force a logout across all devices? Help any on how I can secure or protect my data going forwards would be helpful. Thank you. x [link] [comments] |

| Why do I have internet lag when I open my computer (with wired connection) Posted: 05 Oct 2020 10:50 AM PDT When I just had wireless, I could bring my computer out of sleep or hibernate or whatever and it would be connected to the internet right away. Now that I have a wired connect, every time I wake my computer up, it takes about 10 to 15 seconds for the internet to kick back in. Likewise if I unplug the wired connection in order to switch to wireless. It's not a huge deal but it just feels like I "did the right thing" tech-wise and got "better" internet and now I'm being slightly punished as a result lol [link] [comments] |

| Laptop keyboard and wired keyboard broken Posted: 05 Oct 2020 08:05 AM PDT Sometimes, when I'm studying/playing in my laptop, both my laptop keyboard and desktop keyboard starts to be weird, the keys won't work except when I'm in a browser, it starts doing random things when i press keys and press esc button, it is exchanged to windows key and my scroll doesn't work too. That's all please help! It's frustrating when I'm in my class and it starts doing this, sure restarting will help but my time will be eaten. Posted: 05 Oct 2020 11:18 AM PDT Okay, I've got an 50W led chip with rgb (600-700mA each, red 16-18v, green 24-27v, blue 24-27v, i guess 8 per row/color in series) - which led driver (220v based) would I need (most likely a constant current one)? I find a ton of them on aliexpress (and already bought the wrong one - it causes the red led to flicker due too high voltage) - but they all come with an integrated remote. The control circuit I'll build myself - but due space limitations I need ONE driver to power the whole led chip. Which one is the right (I doubt buying a 20W (because the ratings match) and connecting all three is a good idea)? And yes, I already searched reddit, but I seem to not find the right search terms... Recently when one of my games updated, it locked all of my packs and now I can't use them. I've tried the method to unlock them like you unlock a game by setting it as the primary PS4, but that does nothing. If anyone has any idea how to fix this, please let me know. Thanks.
