Is there a way to delete my account from Hola VPN? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 01:50 AM PDT I really wished I did my research before. :/ I got recommended to use Hola VPN because I wanted to listen to a Japanese Radio station (Radiko). I only had it installed for like 15 mins before uninstalling from my chrome extension. I signed in to the VPN using my second Google account, but I saw that there is no way to delete my account. I signed out of Hola VPN but not seeing a "Delete App" option kinda freaks me out. Is there a way to remove the connection from my email to extensions??? I'm planning on changing my passwords soon cuz I'm freaking out [link] [comments] |
[Serious] How can I use Google Wavenet Text-to-Speech voices in my videos? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 03:51 AM PDT I've been trying to figure this out, apparently, you get a certain amount of google wavenet TTS characters free each month but I can't figure out how to use the entity in any capacity, I'd like to use the Wavenet voices to narrate some of my personal DIY How To videos. Posted: 31 Jul 2020 09:35 AM PDT Been curious about this for a while. I'm mainly thinking about my Walkman- I have one of the older versions which doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity. I got this idea when I was plugging in my wireless mouse - I mean, its basically the same thing right? [link] [comments] |

Help! non tech savvy! Android phones synched but not showing activity for one of them. Posted: 31 Jul 2020 02:39 PM PDT Have 2 android phones with 2 google accounts synched together. Was working fine but as of 2 days ago 1 phone's web, app, chrome activity, nothing at all is showing in activity on the other phone. Is this because the phone was unsynced and we just need going back in and find where to sync the google accounts or did something else cause this? It looks like phone numbers and email are still attached though? Very confusing... [link] [comments] |
Need some help trying to open a 3D model file in an obscure format Posted: 31 Jul 2020 06:17 PM PDT |
Posted: 31 Jul 2020 02:16 PM PDT Im looking for a cheap 3D program/game where i can easely build large structures for windows or andriod. I do not care how detailed it is as long as i do not have to figure out/type in the y, x and z axis for every object. More so something that functions similarly to things like Disney infinity and Minecraft, just on a larger scale. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jul 2020 03:35 PM PDT I just moved into a new place and I noticed that one of my neighbors has an open xfinity Wifi. I have an xfinity account and I am gaining access through their connection but it isn't that strong of a connection. My question is: Should I buy an extender and continue to use their WiFi without having to pay a monthly internet bill? Or should I just go buy my own router and pay it all on my own? I appreciate any response. [link] [comments] |
Replacement screws for Bose QuietComfort 35 ii? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 03:34 PM PDT A while back the screws that connect my muffs to the head strap fell out, and by the time i noticed, i had no idea where they were. Here is a link to the screw i'm talking about (the middle screw, and there was one on each side) (apologies for my gross finger), and it is completely missing on the left muff. Thing is, Bose does not replace them at all. I need something similar to keep it together. Any tips would help! [link] [comments] |
Can bluetooth devices accurately detect proximity to another? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 01:29 PM PDT Can regular modern phones (iphone, android) accurately detect bluetooth proximity? Could it say detect the difference in range of 0-5 inches to 5-10 inches? Example: could my phone check whether or not it "dinked" another phone physically vs if I was just sitting next to somebody with a phone in their pocket? [link] [comments] |
What's a good solution, low or no-cost solution to stream a live show to 50-100 people? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 09:41 AM PDT Hello and thank you all in advance for any advice you can provide. A friend of mine owns a performing arts company and is determined to run another show in about a months time. I got involved when i watched their last show, which they chose to broadcast via Zoom. Obviously this didn't work out too well, as the platform wasn't really designed with this type of use in mind. I reached out to them to see if i could help them find a more appropriate solution within the constraints of their budget. I've since discovered they don't really have much of a budget at all, so using a livestreaming platform like Wowza or similar seems to be out of the question. I've considered suggesting they use Youtube Live and use an unlisted stream (As it would have the same level of access restriction as their previous Zoom meeting, which any of the watchers could have easily shared with others). However, the greater concern would be the chance of Youtube's live detection system unexpectedly shutting the stream down either due to copyright or due to skin exposure (The type of performance is burlesque. No actual nudity is shown through use of Pasties over nipples, but there is a lot of skin exposure, and it is adult content). The business owner holds an active ASCAP license and as far as i'm able to tell none of the planned music should be for anything outside of that, but that doesn't mean that some mechanism in Youtube won't still be triggered and shut down the stream. Twitch would be fully public (only way i saw to make it 'private' was to meet requirements that are impossible to achieve in a month), Facebook live is also equally public as far as i can tell, etc. So i'm trying to explore any other alternatives, up to and including configuring a private RTMP server. I'm just not sure if that's the best way to go, or if i'm even aware of all the pros and cons of each option (i.e. feasibility of hosting an RTMP stream via a laptop, off of a VPS and the lowest cost option for that, and how many concurrent viewers each could support, etc.) For background, i'm a long-time sysadmin and a more recent novice programmer, having been doing some C# Web Development at my job. But i haven't delved into this area before and so any advice or pointers to useful resources would be greatly appreciated. What i'm seeking Needs to Have: * Ability to Stream to an upper realistic limit of 100 people (i suspect it'll be in the 20-50 range for viewer count) * Stream for a session length of likely no more than 5 hours (likely will be closer to 2) * No restrictions on content (or some method to get approval such that there is no risk of the stream being shut down unexpectedly by the hosting platform/mechanism) * Not publicly discover able * Be free or EXTREMELY low cost (I accept that this may mean a high amount of manual management/configuration in the solution) Would be Nice to have (But in no way a requirement): * A method to restrict access to a list of users (To prevent the sharing of the view URL freely) * Any mechanisms that make it more challenging for a viewer to record the stream (I understand that it's impossible to 100% prevent, but anything that makes it more difficult to do is desirable due to the nature of the content) * Monetization method (in case whatever solution gets used longer-term, to make it easier to sell and control ticket sales in a way that pairs/integrates with the stream hosting platform/mechanism) Note: I only gave this subreddit's rules a brief overview. Please let me know if i've violated anything there, or if this is not the correct sub to ask such a question. Otherwise, thank you in advance for any guidance/advice/help you provide. Can you bluetooth 1 phone to multiple headphones? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 09:28 AM PDT I'm trying to figure out why you can't take like 5 pairs of different personal headphones and pair them to one phone for say like a DIY silent disco at your house with you and your mates. Will a DVI to VGA adapter work? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 06:33 AM PDT So I'm looking for a gpu for gaming, but for a while I'll only have a monitor that's strictly VGA, since most graphics cards have DVI ports rather than VGA I was wondering if I could get an adapter that would work to my monitor.
