I need to transform more than 1000 emails into pdf files plz help!

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 07:11 PM PDT

Hello guys. As it says in the title, I need to transform 1.200~ emails from my Gmail account into pdf files. But transforming one by one will be a torture. How can I transform them all at once into pdf files? so then i can send all those pdf files in a email? (Also I would like to know how to merge all those pdf files into one big pdf file, just in case you know.)

    Thank you very much!!

    Vps network help

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 05:33 AM PDT

Hi I'm currently running a vps Ubuntu and I have iptables set in place that block all incoming ports unless I manually accept them I have accepted the main ports that are needed but I kept port 22 blocked and made a custom SSH port the vps works fine but when I legally stress my vps on port 22(port 22 is blocked) somehow connections are still coming through? Can someone please explain on how connections are still being made on a blocked port

I need a cheap camera I can view from my phone

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 05:29 AM PDT

So the short and skinny, if such a thing even exists: A cheapish camera that I can link to my phone and view live footage. I don't need a great resolution, or a long range either, but I do need it to work without wifi. Any suggestions?

    What Oparating System

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 03:34 AM PDT

I am currently in the final stages of building a PC, the only thing left is to decide on what oparating system i want to use. Over the last few weeks I have been doing some research and from that debain and mint look like the most suited for what I will use the PC for. So what I am asking is:

    a) Debain, Mint or other as my oparating system.

    b) When I have desided on what oparating system to use how do I install it without the use of a third party PC.

    Thanks👍

    COVID-19 Detector

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 01:33 AM PDT

Does someone have a blueprint or a working design to develop our own device for detecting COVID-19, or atleast where can I buy one? In light of the recent outbreak, it seems like only the malls and other big enterprises have access to theses devices. I don't care if I catch this virus myself, I'll be using this device to scan myself regularly to protect those around me, especially my relatives who are in no condition to catch this virus. Please help. Thank you

Looking for a workflow to get pictures on remote PC

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:36 PM PDT

I am looking for a one way sync workflow to get pictures from my phone to a remote PC. Currently i regularly send pictures via mail and the recipient (my parents) then they download them. Of course there are limitations with the mail providers in terms of mail size etc.

My dream solution is to have an app on the phone that i can use to selectively upload the files to a cloud service and have a service running on the parents PC that automatically downloads them to a specific windows folder. What i am struggling to find is a solution that provides on way sync, so that the files in the cloud can easily be deleted and the files on the remote PC just stay there.

So far google didn't get me any promising results, so i am happy for any suggestions.

    Downloaded Hola VPN?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 07:33 PM PDT

Hi - I downloaded Hola VPN (chrome extension, free version) and used it for about 1 hour this evening. They prompted me to create a free account, which I did, but then a chrome popup said that my login info had been breached. I quickly uninstalled it from Chrome, at which point I read about all the shady things the company had done over the years.

Should I be worried about my data being breached? What steps should I take to protect myself from this point forward?

    Thanks so much

    Preventing iPad/Headphone theft in-store

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:49 PM PDT

I'm working on a display in a store that will involve an iPad connected to a set of headphones and I'm a little worried about theft. I've seen options for anti-theft ipad stands that may work well (such as this one) but I don't know of a way to lock in the headphones to prevent those from being stolen.

    Suggestions?

Also: If this isn't the best sub to ask this in, please direct me to a better place to ask!

Software/service: SightCall alternative. Share PC screen with mobile user who shares camera.

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 01:50 PM PDT

My company was trialing SightCall and it was OK. Kinda clunky, and the bottom line is they want $40k a year to use the service. Totally unreasonable. I'd like to be able to have the on-site technician get a text message link from me to install one app that I can use to share my PC screen with them on their phone and show them things, while they are sharing their camera with me to show me things. There is TeamViewer, but that seems to have a separate app for me sharing my screen (Meeting), and them sharing their camera (Pilot). Also, it would be nice if the calls were automatically recorded, but I can always do that myself.

    Thanks for reading.

Anyone else had this problem with Whatsapp?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 01:17 PM PDT

If i put a picture as my profile pic, other people don't see it. I have set in my settings that everyone can see my profile picture.

I am using the Business version if that matters.

Laptop not charging, no matter what ive tried.

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 04:52 PM PDT

About a week ago, my laptop stopped charging. At first, i tried a few methods i saw online, and then i got a new charger. Neither of those worked. Occasionally it will charge for just a few minutes, but usually it just has no signs of being plugged in at all.

How to project from a Laptop with a broken display?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 09:05 AM PDT

Bit of context: I own a lenovo thinkpad t440p(an ancient laptop). A while back,my retarded cousin decided to break the display and keyboard. A few days forward,I took my laptop to an unknown mechanic (huge mistake) and dude decided to short circuit the F out of the display ribbon. Now,I am left with a cracked display, malfunctioning keyboard and broken ribbon.

My go to local IT guy said the ribbon was pretty rare (in the and it might take days to get his hands on one (fml).

The laptop has a vga port. So,I decided to get a vga to vga cable and then a vga to hdmi converter(those guys didn't have a vga male to hdmi male cable).when they tested the cable,it worked pretty well, just plug it and play.

But now, when I'm trying to hook it up with my tv,it is not working. What can I do?

The laptop is currently running windows 7 and the tv I am trying to hook it up with is a sony 32" regular one(don't know the exact model)

I have tried a few methods, like unhooking the broken ribbon from the display but didn't work. Also, the keyboard on my laptop doesn't work.sadly, can't use Fn+F7.I do have an external keyboard and mouse.

    What do I do?

TL:DR-cousin and some stupid IT guy broke laptop display, ribbon and keyboard. Can't display anything using vga to hdmi converter.parts are pretty rare where I live.what can I do to display my laptop's screen to a tv? Help!

Multi port RGB, Analogue, VGA, composite, and HDMI input switcher to single HDMI output into capture card.

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:10 PM PDT

So I am building home entertainment system for someone and he has a request that is honestly just too badass to say not possible to.

He wants a PS1, N64, Dreamcast, Ps2, Xbox, PS3, Xbox 360, Switch, and a PS4 all plugged into one box. I know this is possible as there are tons of high end multi input switchers that take both SD and HD inputs.

The curve ball is he wants it going to a capture card.

I know this is possible, but the Razor Ripsaw he currently uses will not work.

Money is no object on this request so if you know anything please suggest.
