What is the ultimate non-SHAG phone for Photography? Posted: 30 Nov 2019 01:21 AM PST SHAG=Samsung, Huawei, Apple, Google I'm looking for a non-mainstream phone which comes as close as possible to replacing the need for a DSLR camera. [link] [comments] |

When I connect my laptop to my TV with an HDMI cable, the screen is zoomed in. How do I fix it? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:21 PM PST I've spent forever Googling this issue and still can't figure it out. Everyone says to adjust certain settings on your TV, but my TV doesn't have those settings. Is there any way to fix it through my computer? [link] [comments] |

apps/sites that gives a good experience just like simplenote? how is it comparable to simplenote? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 11:28 PM PST apps/sites that gives a good experience just like simplenote? how exactly is like simplenote?the main problem/limitation
simplenoteto create a list , you just press a common hotkey
good flow other good features
this was initally intended just for moblie use (so it has only mobile lists on it) but think am gonna move the mobie lists elsewhere (dunno to what, dunno of any good options), and use it only for desktop/laptop use simplenote was not always good, and the update must've been done this year or last year or whenever it was, it used to be used to be trash like these apps/sites below apps/sites that has a good interface just like simplenote? why is it comparable to simplenote?bad apps/siteszim this thing is complete garbage and want to uninstall it using it temporarily cos of the problem that you cant use multiples instances/copies of the the good apps/sites there lots of friction when creating a list
also 200% the friction just to delete a list
cherrytree beyond trash. this is the abosute worst, i dont know if there's even anything good about this, dont think it has any users cos nobody knows whats godo about it
cintanotes this is for the need of better searches. onenote has extremely bad searches. there's a few ppl on the web that knows nothing about software and that say its good searches, but it is the worst, terrible search feature in many ways
the ui is complete garbage tho dynalist
standard note
apps/sites that has good UX/UI just like simplenote? for laptop/desktop use[link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:52 PM PST I recently got a Razor Blackwidow elite keyboard with Mx blues. Now, between me and my keyboard and the other room where my room mates sleep, they are two closed doors, and back to back walls. They also usually sleep with the fan/ac running. How noticeable or likely to wake them up? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 06:03 PM PST The wife went to log on to Costco.com, and there was a random @aol email. No one has access to her laptop, and neither of us typed it. The email address belongs to some woman in Kentucky. Nothing interesting in the cookies or browser history that we could interpret. Anyone else see this sort of thing before? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:39 PM PST What is the best laptop I can buy for photoshop? My big points are durability, speed, and screen clarity. I know nothing about laptops and I have no idea which one to pick. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:43 AM PST I was gifted some blue light filtering glasses last year. I default all of my devices to night shift because I worry about all of the screen time and it's effect on my eyes. So I'm just curious if the glasses are necessary when I'm already using night shift on the displays. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 07:19 PM PST Clarification, this concerns a file, not any hardware or software issues. I simply need some kind of video editing software to tinker with a file. Example, the video will be moving, but due to the issues with the weak camera, the video file itself records a frame frozen in time. After a number of seconds, it starts recording motion again. I simply want to iron out these frozen frames. [link] [comments] |
New HP 24f Display: Can I have audio without speakers or headset? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 05:56 PM PST EDIT: learned that there are not built-in speakers. Any suggestions for speakers? Thanks for any info you can give me. Haven't had a desktop in forever, and was unaware that the audio was not a given. [link] [comments] |

How much longer is the HDMI standard expected to last? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 03:40 PM PST I can only assume that, eventually, something else will come along in the future that fully replaces the HDMI port across all standard devices. How much longer is it thought that HDMI will last? Is there anything about HDMI that will make plug and play converters easier to utilize than it is ports before HDMI became the standard? Managing Storage Space on Surface Pro 4 Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:54 PM PST I'm out of storage on my Surface and I want to clean it up, but I'm not sure what I can uninstall without bricking the device. Are there trustworthy services that can help me clean stuff up? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |

How to connect my laptop screen to LG smart TV? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:40 PM PST So I bought a TV and was trying to connect my laptop screen to TV. After couple of research, I was able to connect wirelessly to TV using "Add a bluetooth or other device" and click "wireless display or dock", where I was able to find the new TV's name (from my windows). And then I had to say yes in TV screen to accept and it worked. After a while, I disconnect the connection, and I am trying to connect again, but it seems like I can't find the TV name even if I am doing the same thing even when every thing else remains the same. My OS is windows 10, new TV is LG ThinQ AI. Can someone help? [link] [comments] |
Looking to upgrade suggestions for my computer Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:29 PM PST I currently have a P8H61-M LX Motherboard and a i5-3350P CPU. I am looking for upgrades but I am not sure what i want. I know i prefer an ASUS CPU and that the motherboard should be DDR4 compatible. My budget is somewhere around 400£ in total for both a Motherboard and a CPU. Thus far i'm thinking of an i5 9600k CPU and an ASUS z370-H motherboard but I am far from sure and would appreciate the help. Thanks [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:21 PM PST Hey everyone, I wanted to buy a single Smart plug and was wondering if this would work, if I bought one single Smart Plug and connected it to my wall, followed by plugging a normal surge extension with multiple plugs, will I be able to use my Echo Dot to control items or will I need to actually get a surge extension that is smart compatible? Thank you! [link] [comments] |
I'm sorry if im misusing this subreddit, about the galaxy tab A 10.1 Posted: 29 Nov 2019 12:43 PM PST this may sound childish but can the Galaxy tab A play fortnite on 60 fps? or just the usual 30 fps I'm also wondering if I could connect a mouse and keyboard onto it? [link] [comments] |
Advice on powerbank for laptop that will power it while processing video Posted: 29 Nov 2019 04:53 AM PST I have an interesting situation. I do some very specialised work that has me using software that generates measurement data in real-time from video footage. My laptop processes this data fastest when it is plugged directly into a power source. The problem is that the work I do is outdoors - extreme heat, humidity, dust the power source is often mains power but I have been known to get dirty power and experience brown outs from the mains power, sometimes I just use random generators so I don't know if they're pure sine wave or not. I don't like the idea of having my computer connected to "dirty power" sources. I'm wondering could I get the same results from a power bank as I would from mains power/generator in regards to processing improvements? I run the laptop for ~2 hrs at a time is there something on the market that could give me the results I need that is also able to be taken on a airplane? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 08:26 AM PST Hey y'all, my wife and I are wanting to get her mother a new Kindle Fire (2019) for Christmas. She currently owns the 1st Gen Kindle Fire. One of her friends somehow "gave" her a SHIT TON of books from her account. Now, I have brief knowledge of transferring eBooks but, my question is, how easy/hard is it to transfer her entire library of books (including the ones given to her) currently on her device to the new one? She wants a new Kindle badly because hers is so outdated but doesn't wanna lose all of the books she currently has on her outdated Kindle. [link] [comments] |

How do I send an album / large group of photos in iMessage? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 10:35 AM PST I have an album of 70 pictures I want to send in a message to someone, but I don't want to bombard them with a bunch of individual texted images. How do I send them in one chunk? I've seen this done in the past with a working 24 hour link to the album. [link] [comments] |
